Fin Whale Mermaid

So I've been watching Whale Wars like A LOT. So I've been looking at antarctic ecosystems a lot lately I'm not cheesy enough to draw a "whaling awareness thing", but when I was looking up the species that those whale stabbing assholes hunt, I noticed that the fin whale's jaw is two toned, and thought that was cool :3

She actually ended up being more voluptuous than I originally set out with. But eh, she lives in the antarctic where skinny means death XD I went through so many frustrations with this drawing. Like, I was trying to make her hand reach forward, and that didn't work, and I tried to make her face a front view and that was harder than it should be cuz I never ever draw front views, and then the pencils weren't cooperating and I didn't have any black... and on the background, My white pens absolutely refused to stick to the colored pencils >.< Its not a masterpiece background, but I'm trying so hard to make more of them. Let's hope they get better ; 3 ; He ears are totally consumed by her hair ; 3 ; cuz I sketched them, but didn't ink 'em, because of all that hair XD

This really isn't an anthro balleen whale mermaid because they make really weird anthros what with the throat creases and even the balleen structures them selves.... Can you imagine cramming baleen in a human-esque mouth? So I took the pansy route XD Balleen whales need moar love.
